Russell Wilson Saves Day With Three More Touchdowns
one year ago

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson attempted a season-low 19 passes in the surprising 24-9 win over the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The Broncos offense didn't have to air the ball out in this one with their defense holding the Chiefs to just three field goals on the day. Wilson completed 12 of his 19 attempts for just 114 yards, but he did throw three touchdowns and no interceptions. The 34-year-old was sacked six times for 27 yards and also fumbled twice, losing one of them. He had a season-high eight rushing attempts for an extra 30 yards. It wasn't an eye-opening performance by any means, but Wilson has now thrown for 16 touchdowns and only four interceptions heading into the team's Week 9 bye. Wilson will be looking to snap a streak of four straight games with fewer than 200 passing yards on Monday night in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills.
