Russell Wilson Looks Washed Up In Week 6 Loss
one year ago

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson was beginning to look rejuvenated in head coach Sean Payton's offense early in the year, but he's taken a major step back the last two weeks. After throwing for a season-low 177 yards in Week 5 against the New York Jets, Wilson looked even worse in the 19-8 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night. Denver's offense just couldn't get anything going against a sneaky good Chiefs defense on the road in a hostile environment until a late score in the fourth quarter. Wilson finished 13-for-22 with just 95 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He ran the ball four times for 31 yards and was sacked four times for a loss of 13 yards. The 34-year-old should be able to bounce back in a more favorable Week 7 matchup against the Packers at home, but this is rock bottom for Wilson and the Broncos.
