Roschon Johnson Remains In Concussion Protocol
one year ago

Chicago Bears rookie running back Roschon Johnson (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol heading into Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday. Johnson's status this week takes on added significance with Khalil Herbert expected to miss multiple weeks with a high-ankle sprain. Johnson, Herbert and Travis Homer (hamstring) were hurt in last Thursday's win over the Washington Commanders, leaving Khari Blasingame as the team's lone back late in that contest. If Johnson is unable to gain clearance to play this weekend, D'Onta Foreman, who has been a healthy scratch for four straight games, could be asked to lead Chicago's backfield against Minnesota. If Johnson gains clearance and gets the green light to play, he should have a significant role with Herbert out. UPDATE: Johnson didn't practice on Wednesday.
