Ronnie Rivers Hurts Knee Sunday
one year ago

Los Angeles Rams running back Ronnie Rivers (knee) exited Week 6's game versus the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday due to a knee injury, per Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register. Rivers got some action in this one before departing, carrying the ball three times for nine yards with one four-yard reception in the eventual 26-9 win. Starter Kyren Williams (ankle) took over the backfield reins in the second half with 154 yards over the final two periods, but he tweaked his ankle late in the contest. We'll have to wait on Rivers' practice status ahead of Week 7 vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers to get a better idea of his availability for next Sunday. Assuming Williams' ankle injury is of minimal concern, he should take all the touches he can handle if Rivers needs to miss time moving ahead, with sixth-round rookie Zach Evans next up on the depth chart.
