Ronnie Rivers Going On Injured Reserve
one year ago

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that the team will put running back Ronnie Rivers (knee) on Injured Reserve due to a PCL injury. The team is also considering putting Kyren Williams (ankle) on IR, so the Rams backfield is in a bad place heading into Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rivers, 24, will be required to miss at least the next four games after he was injured in the Week 6 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Through the first six games of his sophomore season in the NFL, Rivers has only 13 carries for 57 yards and has added four receptions for 18 yards. Rookie Zach Evans was a popular waiver-wire pickup this week and figures to see the majority of backfield touches this Sunday against the Steelers. Royce Freeman, Darrell Henderson and Myles Gaskin could also get involved in the coming weeks with both Williams and Rivers on the shelf.
