Ronnie Rivers Believed To Have PCL Sprain
one year ago

Los Angeles Rams backup running back Ronnie Rivers (knee) is believed to have a PCL sprain that could keep him out a few weeks. He will undergo an MRI exam on Monday to determine the extent of the damage. Starter Kyren Williams is also undergoing an MRI on Monday after suffering an ankle injury in the Week 6 win over the Arizona Cardinals, so the Rams' backfield could be dangerously thin in Week 7 for a matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If both Williams and Rivers are unavailable this weekend, rookie Zach Evans would step into an elevated role in LA's backfield. The Rams also have veteran Royce Freeman on their practice squad. Keep a close eye on Williams' and Rivers' status this week. Evans is worth a speculative waiver-wire pickup for those hurting at the position.
