Rico Dowdle Still Dealing With Ankle Issue

Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle (ankle) showed up on the Week 12 injury report and was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report. Dowdle was added to the team's Week 11 injury report last Saturday due to an ankle issue, but he played and had only 20 scrimmage yards on 10 touches behind backfield leader Tony Pollard in the easy win over the Carolina Panthers. The Cowboys have hinted at giving the 25-year-old some more touches in their backfield, but until we actually see that come to fruition, he'll merely be a handcuff for fantasy managers that have Pollard rostered. Dowdle is having the best year in his third season in the NFL with 55 carries for 235 yards (4.3 yards per carry) and one touchdown on the ground, adding nine catches for 54 yards and another TD.
