Rico Dowdle Scores A Thanksgiving Touchdown

Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle (ankle) worked in a clear backup role in a Week 12 Thanksgiving win over the Washington Commanders, but he was able to make the most of it by scoring a touchdown. Dowdle carried the ball three times, gaining 11 yards. He added one catch on his lone target, scoring a 15-yard touchdown. Dowdle missed practice time early in the week with an ankle injury. He was able to play through it, but perhaps the injury is what kept him mostly out of the game plan. Starter Tony Pollard scored a touchdown of his own and saw 19 touches to Dowdle's four. It was a step back for Dowdle in terms of his fantasy value, but another week to let his ankle heal should give him a little more action in Week 13 against the Seahawks.
