Rico Dowdle Questionable To Face The Commanders

Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle (ankle) is listed as questionable to play on Thanksgiving on Thursday against the Washington Commanders. Dowdle missed practice on Monday and Tuesday but was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday, giving him a chance to suit up to continue his role as Tony Pollard's primary backup in Dallas' backfield. The 25-year-old played through his ankle issue in the easy Week 11 win over the Carolina Panthers, but he saw only 10 touches and gained 20 total yards. He has been deserving of a bigger role next to Pollard this year, but it hasn't really come to fruition. If he is unable to play on Turkey Day, rookie Deuce Vaughn would see a bigger role while spelling Pollard.
