Rhamondre Stevenson Trending Up For Week 9
one year ago

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson should be a solid fantasy football option for Week 9 versus the Washington Commanders. For starters, Washington traded away defensive ends Chase Young and Montez Sweat this week, leading to far less pressure around the line of scrimmage. Washington was already a middle-of-the-pack team in terms of defending running backs, and they will presumably be far worse sans Sweat and Young. Furthermore, Mac Jones lost his favorite pass-catcher, Kendrick Bourne (knee), to a season-ending ACL tear, creating plenty of vacated targets in the offense. Stevenson has repeatedly proven himself as a key outlet for Jones in the passing attack, and given that his fantasy value dependent on getting involved in a receiver, he could benefit from Bourne's absence. All in all, Stevenson is an appealing RB2 option in fantasy football this week.
