Real Chance Drew Lock Starts Over Geno Smith Monday Night
11 months ago

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith (groin) is listed as questionable to play on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, and there's a real chance that backup Drew Lock will make his second straight start this week, according to sources. Smith is going to be a true game-time decision on Monday night, so any fantasy managers deciding between him and another QB that plays on Sunday will probably want to play this one safe and put Smith on their bench. Lock made his first start of the year in the Week 14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, going 22-for-31 for 269 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in what was a respectable showing against one of the league's best defenses. Lock will have a much better matchup against a shaky Philly secondary if he starts again on Monday night, although we still wouldn't recommend him as anything more than a midrange QB2, at best.
