Ray-Ray McCloud Misses Practice With Illness

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud III (illness) was a non-participant in practice on Wednesday. The severity of his illness is unknown but it's unlikely to be bad enough to keep him out of the lineup this week. The 27-year-old has seen a slight uptick in involvement on offense with Deebo Samuel (shoulder) out of the lineup. Samuel is practicing in full and will make his return to the lineup on Sunday. That will relegate McCloud back to his role as a returner on special teams. Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and Jauan Jennings are above him in the wide receiver pecking order.
