Ravens Getting More Comfortable Using Keaton Mitchell
12 months ago

Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken said that the team is getting more comfortable with rookie running back Keaton Mitchell in different personal groupings. Monken also acknowledged that there is still a learning curve with stuff like pass protection and route-running, but Mitchell's involvement only continues to grow in a crowded backfield that also consists of Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. Mitchell played a team-high 46% of the offensive snaps out of the backfield in Sunday night's win over the Los Angeles Chargers and led the backfield with 11 touches. Edwards and Hill will continue to chip in, but the 21-year-old is trending toward leading this backfield come postseason time and is easily the most explosive back with the most pure upside of the trio.
