New Orleans Saints second-year wide receiver Rashid Shaheed can be considered as a flex option in Week 12. With Michael Thomas (knee) on injured reserve, Shaheed should see an uptick in playing time and targets. In Week 10 when Thomas exited the game early, Shaheed saw a career-high nine targets. The speedy receiver has made most of his fantasy value on explosive plays but now should have a safer floor with Thomas no longer in the fold, freeing up nearly seven additional targets per game. Be on the lookout for rookie A.T. Perry to potentially step into Thomas' role on the outside, with Shaheed remaining in the slot. Shaheed is a startable option due to volume and big-play-ability in Week 12 despite Atlanta's secondary being the tenth-most efficient on a points-per-game basis against opposing receivers.
