Rashee Rice Tries To Break Out In Cushy Draw
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice looks to be on the precipice of a breakout, but there's a few hurdles to climb. Rice has 28 targets on 87 routes run, which is good for an elite 32.2% target rate. The 23-year-old has also shown plenty of explosiveness with 2.82 yards per route run. Rice even has a healthy seven red-zone targets. The 2023 second-rounder continues to work in a rotation with a litany of Chiefs receivers, however, struggling to consistently command quarterback Patrick Mahomes' attention on a 12.7% target share. Rice's 5.4 average yards of target distance is also lacking. Though Justin Watson's (elbow) absence should free up some snaps, Rice remains a volatile WR4/flex in Week 7 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. The matchup is certainly mouthwatering, though, as the Bolts have been crushed for the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing WRs (45.30) this year.
