Rashee Rice Still Awaits Full-Fledged Breakout
12 months ago

We've felt like Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been a breakout waiting to happen for the bulk of the 2023 season, but it just hasn't happened quite yet. PlayerProfiler charted Jalen Ramsey as the primary corner to Rice in the Germany win over the Miami Dolphins, impeding the second-round rookie's breakthrough chances. But Rice played a season-high 68.6% of K.C.'s offensive snaps in Week 9, saving his day on a catch-and-run screen touchdown while matching a season-worst two targets and receptions and setting a new low mark with 17 yards. Fantasy managers are clamoring for the Chiefs to feed Rice the ball, since the explosive 23-year-old is compiling the eighth-most points per target (2.28) and seventh-most fantasy points per route run (0.60). The declining Eagles secondary is being gutted for the most fantasy points to opposing WRs (47.53), situating Rice as a WR3 with tons of upside on Monday.
