Rashee Rice Peppered With Targets Against Patriots
11 months ago

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was funneled targets in Week 15's 27-17 win over the New England Patriots, collecting all nine of his targets for 91 yards and a touchdown. Though it wasn't the cleanest exchange, Rice was the recipient of a four-yard Jerick McKinnon shovel pass for a score on a trick play to get the Chiefs on the board early. Rice's low average depth of target may only feed him looks in the short and intermediate levels of the field, but it also allows the 23-year-old rookie to easily vacuum up high-percentages passes and thus furnish a high fantasy floor. And after being stuck in a revolving door of a wideout rotation, Rice has settled in as a focal point of a K.C. passing attack that has finally become more concentrated toward him. Though devoid of deep targets, Rice will be a high-end WR2 in PPR setups at home on Christmas day versus the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders.
