Rashee Rice Losing Steam Entering Week 12
12 months ago

After consistently playing under 50% of the Kansas City Chiefs' offensive snaps through his first five games, wide receiver Rashee Rice had fantasy managers clamoring for the coaching staff to give him more playing time. The second-round rookie was aggressively earning 4.8 targets per game looks in a limited role over this interval, but his elite target rate has not carried over into a more prominent role. Since his snaps stabilized around the 50-60% range in Week 6, Rice is still averaging only 4.4 targets across this frame. Combine the lack of opportunity with a lowly two deep targets on the campaign and Rice offers diminished WR3 fantasy appeal for Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Rice owns the ninth-most full-PPR fantasy points per route run (0.56), but there's no indication that the Chiefs are ready to expand his route tree and how they utilize him overall, even with Kadarius Toney (ankle/hip) and Mecole Hardman Jr. (thumb) out on Sunday.
