Rashee Rice Keeps Up Momentum Sunday
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice managed to maintain his climb toward the head of the receiving corps in Sunday's dazing 24-9 fall to the Denver Broncos, delivering four catches (five targets) for 56 yards. Rice tried to wake up a dormant Chiefs first half with an exhilarating 39-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter, but the offense had to settle for a field goal later that drive. Week 8 ultimately wasn't a significant step forward or backward for the 2023 second-rounder, but he offered a usable fantasy outcome in a stonewalled offense nonetheless. The Chiefs and Miami Dolphins could put on an offensive showcase during Week 9's must-see game in Germany, where Rice should remain an upside, if mid-tier WR3/flex. K.C.'s possible trade deadline transactions could bolster or undermine the 23-year-old's rest-of-season outlook, though, depending largely upon if they swing a deal for a household name at wideout.
