Rashee Rice Keeps Ascending In Week 7
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice continued to make a name for himself in Week 7's 31-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, catching five balls on six targets for 60 yards and a touchdown. Rice started his first game of the season and drew quarterback Patrick Mahomes' first target of the contest for a three-yard gain. Rice then found a hole in the back of the end zone for his third score of the year from six yards out. The 2023 second-rounder also had a 37-yard gain to jump-start a second-quarter Chiefs scoring drive that began deep in their own territory before trucking over a defender on a 12-yard play late in the affair. Rice's snap rate is beginning to stabilize, with the rookie handling a season-high 59% on Sunday. Slowly but surely reaching the WR3 surface, Rice should be treated as a flex play with the most upside of K.C.'s wideouts in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos.
