A car involved in the accident was believed to be registered to or leased to Rice, and the occupants of two cars ran from the scene. On Monday, Rice's attorney Royce West released a statement saying "Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly." As of now, there is still uncertainty about what happened and what Rice's involvement was in the situation, so it's too early to know if the 23-year-old will face discipline from the law and the NFL.
