Rashee Rice A Sneaky FLEX Bet On Sunday
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice could be a breakout waiting to happen among the team's jumbled receiving corps beyond Travis Kelce. Rice may have already passed up Kadarius Toney in three-receiver sets alongside Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Skyy Moore after out-snapping him in consecutive weeks. Rice has maximized his playing time; the 2023 second-round pick has commanded a 34.5% target rate (19 looks on 55 routes run), 2.55 yards per route run, and 0.59 fantasy points per route run. Rice's overall lack of usage leaves him hard to recommend as anything more than a WR4/FLEX in Week 5, but the Minnesota Vikings have been scorched for the highest fantasy points per to game (49.37) to enemy WRs. It behooves fantasy managers to stash the rookie as a waiver pickup with such promising underlying metrics and beatable competition as quarterback Patrick Mahomes' secondary target.
