Rams Designate Ronnie Rivers To Return From Injured Reserve
11 months ago

The Los Angeles Rams designated running back Ronnie Rivers (knee) to return from Injured Reserve on Tuesday, opening his 21-day window for the team to officially activate him from IR. Rivers will return to practice this week after spraining the PCL in his knee way back in Week 6. The 24-year-old is probably unlikely to return in Week 16 with the Rams playing the New Orleans Saints on Thursday Night Football, but the second-year back should return before the end of the regular season for the Rams. In six games before injuring his knee, Rivers was averaging 4.4 yards on 13 carries while catching four passes for 18 yards. When he's fully healthy, he'll operate as backfield depth in LA behind Kyren Williams and Royce Freeman.
