Quentin Johnston Should Practice This Week
12 months ago

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley indicated that tests on rookie first-round wide receiver Quentin Johnston (ribs) showed nothing serious and that he should be able to practice this week. Johnston injured his ribs in the third quarter of Sunday night's Week 12 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and never returned despite being medically cleared on the sidelines. The 22-year-old finished with just one catch on three targets for seven yards. Johnston has struggled with drops and has failed to live up to his draft pedigree through his first 11 NFL games, catching 21 of his 37 targets for 190 yards and one touchdowns. He hasn't capitalized on an expanded role with Joshua Palmer (knee) on Injured Reserve. Johnston is a hold in dynasty/keeper leagues, but he can't be trusted in starting lineups given his recent play and trouble with dropped passes.
