Quay Walker, Rudy Ford Out For Packers Defense

Green Bay Packers linebacker Quay Walker (groin) and safety Rudy Ford (calf) have both been ruled out for the Week 9 contest against the visiting Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Both players suffered injuries during the practice week and will have to sit this one out. It makes an already soft defense even more vulnerable on Sunday, but it remains to be seen if Rams backup quarterback Brett Rypien will be able to take advantage of it while making the start for the injured Matthew Stafford (thumb). Walker is a starting option at linebacker in IDP fantasy leagues when healthy, as the 23-year-old currently has 66 tackles and an interception so far in his second NFL season.
