Patriots Re-Sign Nathan Rourke

The New England Patriots re-signed former Canadian Football League standout quarterback Nathan Rourke to an undisclosed deal on Friday, according to a source. The Patriots claimed Rourke off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars in December. New England is expected to move on from Mac Jones under center this offseason, sign a veteran in free agency and draft a signal-caller, potentially with the third overall pick in the first round. The 25-year-old Rourke will merely be providing depth at the position and is unlikely to see any real playing time in 2024. The British Columbia native has not played a single snap in an NFL game.
