Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes hasn't been able to put together the gaudy statistics fantasy managers were hoping for when they spent an early-round pick on the 28-year-old superstar in this past summer's drafts. After the reigning MVP's 2022 campaign saw 12-of-17 top-six weekly fantasy finishes, Mahomes has closed as the overall QB6 or better just twice over his 14 games this year. While Rashee Rice has bloomed into K.C.'s most dangerous wideout by far, the rookie has only made a name for himself in the short and intermediate levels of the field. Mahomes' 30 dropped passes by his receivers represent a league-high figure. And though Mahomes remains second in pass attempts (524) and red-zone attempts (88), there may not heavy throwing volume in Week 16 at home versus a Las Vegas Raiders team in transition. Mahomes is a midrange QB1 but owns a 14:0 TD:INT in his last five games against Raiders.
