Patrick Mahomes Exceeds 300 Yards For First Time Since Week 7
11 months ago

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes eclipsed the 300-yard mark for the first time since October in Week 15's 27-17 win over the New England Patriots, completing 27-of-37 passes for 305 yards with a pair of touchdowns and interceptions. Mahomes put together a nearly perfect first half despite heavy pressure, going 13-for-15 for 183 yards and a short score to Jerick McKinnon. The superstar signal-caller later capitalized on a short field after a Chiefs takeaway for another TD to a tailback, connecting this time with Clyde Edwards-Helaire from six yards out. Mahomes' picks were hardly his fault; Blake Bell had a pass in traffic ripped away and Kadarius Toney mishandled another one into the arms of a defender. With K.C. in cruise control against an overmatched Pats team, they basically sat on the ball down the stretch. Mahomes will remain a mid-tier fantasy QB1 on Christmas afternoon versus the Las Vegas Raiders.
