Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs Win Fourth AFC Title Since 2019
10 months ago

The Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes advanced to their fourth Super Bowl in the past five years with a 17-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday's AFC Championship game. Mahomes completed 30-of-39 passes for 241 yards and one touchdown, adding 15 yards on six carries. After passing Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski for the most postseason TDs by a QB-receiver combo in the Divisional Round victory over the Buffalo Bills, Mahomes added another by connecting with Travis Kelce from 19 yards away on K.C.'s opening drive to get the future Hall of Fame tight end his 19th career playoff score. With a game-sealing 32-yard pass to Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mahomes and the defending-champion Chiefs punched their ticket to Las Vegas to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11 for a Super Bowl LIV rematch and attempt to repeat as champs for the first time since the 2003-04 New England Patriots.
