Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' solid, yet unspectacular, first six weeks have him ranked as fantasy's overall QB4. Despite a consistent dose of favorable matchups, Mahomes remains treading water with a lone three-touchdown effort this year. The 2022 MVP accomplished this feat eight times last year. Mahomes sees yet another potential eruption spot versus the divisional-rival Los Angeles Chargers, who have been shredded for the most fantasy points per game (21.71) and second-most yards per passing attempt (7.7). Mahomes has dismantled the Bolts in his last five starts against them, averaging 307.2 pass yards and 30.6 rush yards with a 14:3 TD-to-INT ratio. And while Mahomes' 6.5 air yards per attempt suggest a low ceiling, his league-most 44 red-zone attempts imply that the scores are coming. The perennial All-Pro is an obvious top-end QB1 with six teams on a Week 7 bye.
