Panthers To Simplify Things For Bryce Young
one year ago

The Carolina Panthers plan to simplify things moving forward for rookie quarterback Bryce Young with the team getting off to an 0-5 start. "When you're 0-5... the answer is to do less," head coach Frank Reich said. The Panthers are expected to cut down on verbiage in the offense and the things that Young is tasked with doing at the line of scrimmage before he snaps the ball. This isn't suddenly going to make Young look like a grizzled veteran, but it's important to note and important for his development the rest of the year. The 22-year-old looked much better in the Week 5 loss to the Detroit Lions and even threw three touchdowns, but he'll remain a low-end QB2 option in superflex leagues for the foreseeable future, including in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins.
