Panthers Request To Interview Brian Callahan
11 months ago

The Carolina Panthers have requested an interview with Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan for their head-coaching job, according to a source. Carolina fired head coach Frank Reich on Nov. 27 and also canned general manager Scott Fitterer on Monday, so they'll be looking for both a new head coach and GM this offseason. In addition to requesting an interview with Callahan, the team has requested to talk to Kansas City Chiefs vice president of football operations Brandt Tillis and Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant GM Mike Greenberg. Callahan just finished his 14th season in the NFL and his fifth with the Bengals. In previous stops, he served as quarterbacks coach for the Detroit Lions and Las Vegas Raiders. Callahan began his NFL career as an offensive coach for the Denver Broncos.
