Panthers Remain Confident In Bryce Young

The Carolina Panthers fired head coach Frank Reich on Monday after a 1-10 start in his first year with the organization, but they remain confident in their investment in rookie quarterback Bryce Young with the first overall pick in this year's draft despite his play not living up to that billing to this point. "We are totally confident in that pick," owner David Tepper said. The shakeup at head coach midway through his first NFL season won't make life any easier on Young as he tries to put forth positive momentum to close out the 2023 campaign. The 22-year-old also doesn't have many playmakers on the offensive side of the ball in Carolina. Young has completed 61.7% of his passes for 1,877 yards, nine touchdowns and eight interceptions in his first 10 NFL starts. He has a chance to put up some decent numbers this weekend in a divisional clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
