Panthers Promote Dan Morgan In Front Office
10 months ago

The Carolina Panthers promoted Dan Morgan to president of football operations/general manager on Monday. Morgan was a Pro Bowl linebacker who helped the Panthers get to Super Bowl XXXVIII and rejoined the team in 2021 as an assistant general manager under former GM Scott Fitterer. The Panthers fired Fitterer after a league-worst 2-15 record in 2023. Morgan has been actively involved in the search for a new head coach to replace Frank Reich, who was fired midseason. He worked with Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales in Seattle for the Seahawks when he was the director of pro personnel and Canales was the receivers coach. Morgan was also the director of player personnel for the Buffalo Bills from 2018-20, when quarterback Josh Allen was taken with the seventh pick in 2018.
