No Structural Damage For Geno Smith

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said it will take a couple of days for quarterback Geno Smith's elbow to quiet down but said, "There's no structural issue there, but he's got a sore elbow." Smith was forced to leave the Week 11 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the second and appeared to be in some pain, but he returned late in the fourth quarter and also led the team to a game-winning field-goal drive. The fact that he was able to return to the game on Sunday gives the team optimism that he'll be able to play this Thursday night against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. With the injury to boot, Smith will be a clear fade as a QB2 in the bad matchup while potentially being limited if his elbow isn't 100%. If he ends up being held out, Drew Lock would make the start under center for Seattle.
