Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that wide receiver Christian Watson (back, chest) avoided a concussion in the Week 9 win over the Los Angeles Rams and also doesn't have any concerns with his back or chest, which were injured during an outstretched catch on Sunday. The Packers are still monitoring Watson closely, but he looks to have avoided a serious injury and should have a chance to play in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 24-year-old second-year wideout caught just one pass in Week 9 for a 37-yard gain. He got a late start to the 2023 campaign due to a hamstring injury and has been a major disappointment in his sophomore season after he found the end zone seven times in 14 games in his rookie season. So far through five games this year, he has just 12 receptions for 213 yards and one score on 26 targets in a low-scoring and inconsistent offense led by quarterback Jordan Love.
