Mike Evans Still Absent At Practice
one year ago

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) missed another day of practice on Thursday. However, head coach Todd Bowles said on Wednesday that the important day for Evans would be on Friday to see what he's able to do running during the last practice before the Week 6 home game on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Evans tweaked his hamstring in Week 4 and had last week's bye to rest, but he's still no lock to play this weekend against Detroit. Seeing him back on the practice field on Friday would be more reassuring, but the 30-year-old pass-catcher is probably going to be questionable going into Sunday's game. Tampa doesn't play until the later slate of games that day, too, which will make Evans an even riskier lineup choice for Week 6. If Evans doesn't play, Chris Godwin, Trey Palmer and Deven Thompkins would all have bigger roles in the passing attack.
