Matthew Stafford "Making Good Progress"

According to Rams head coach Sean McVay, quarterback Matthew Stafford (thumb) is "making good progress." However, the signal-caller "wasn't anywhere to where we thought he would be able to go for us." Stafford didn't suit up in Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers, opening the door for Brett Rypien to take over under center. But Rypien struggled, going 13-for-28 passing for 130 yards and a pick. Fortunately, the Rams are off in Week 10, so Stafford has a shot to return for the Week 11 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. Still, he'll need to prove he can grip the ball, which is his biggest hurdle at the moment.
