Marvin Mims Jr. Goes Off, Scores First Career Touchdown
one year ago

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. disappointed in his NFL debut in the Week 1 loss with Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) inactive due to injury. With Jeudy returning in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, though, Mims caught both of his targets for a team-high 113 yards and the first touchdown of his career in a 35-33 loss. Mims also saw two carries for 10 yards and had a big punt return on special teams, so it was quite the day for the 21-year-old. The speedy Mims definitely showed his big-play ability and allowed quarterback Russell Wilson to have his best game in a Broncos uniform. However, fantasy managers shouldn't jump to conclusions and run out and spend to grab Mims off the waiver wire heading into Week 3. He should have some big moments down the field, but as long as both Jeudy and Courtland Sutton are healthy, those moments figure to be few and far between.
