Marvin Lewis Returning To NFL With Raiders
10 months ago

The Las Vegas Raiders have hired former Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis as assistant head coach on Thursday, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The Raiders also announced on Thursday that they are expected to hire former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury as their new offensive coordinator. Having two former head coaches will surely help head coach Antonio Pierce in his first full season at the helm in Vegas. Lewis and Pierce worked together at Arizona State from 2019-21 and were co-defensive coordinators for the Sun Devils in 2020. Lewis went 131-122-3 from 2003-18 as the Bengals' head coach and was named the Coach of the Year in 2009. The 65-year-old is most known for his playoff failures with Cincinnati, but he'll bring a wealth of experience on the defensive side for Pierce and the rest of his staff in 2024.
