Mark Andrews Dealing With Cracked Fibula, Ligament Issue In Ankle
12 months ago

Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews (ankle, leg) suffered a cracked fibula and a ligament injury to his ankle in Thursday night's win over the Cincinnati Bengals, according to sources after he underwent an MRI exam. It is still believed to be a long-term, season-ending injury as the Ravens said after the game on Thursday night, but the Ravens will consult with Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte next week for more information. Fantasy managers may feel more comfortable waiting for all the information to come out before outright dropping Andrews, but the bottom line is that the 28-year-old isn't expected to play again this year. It's a tough break for the Ravens and fantasy managers to lose one of the best tight ends in the game. In his absence, Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar should both see expanded roles, but neither will be a very attractive waiver-wire pickup.
