New England Patriots quarterback Malik Cunningham has been waived by the team. The rookie QB made just one appearance in the regular season with New England before being waived. After starting quarterback Mac Jones' stellar performance in Week 7 against the Bills, New England seemingly didn't have a need for another backup signal-caller. Bailey Zappe and Will Grier are already on the roster so there was no point holding on to Cunningham as well. The former Louisville Cardinal will likely sign with another team's practice squad in the coming weeks.
