Mac Jones Undergoes X-Rays, Dealing With Bruise

New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones (undisclosed), who was benched in favor of Bailey Zappe in the final two minutes of the Week 10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Germany on Sunday, underwent X-rays after the game. However, he said he's just dealing with a bruise and will be fine. Jones had just 170 yards passing and a terrible interception in the end zone in the fourth quarter with a receiver open that cost the Patriots the game. New England has their bye in Week 11, but there's a good chance it will be Zappe, not Jones, starting under center for the Pats when they return in Week 12 to face the New York Giants. The 25-year-old Jones has regressed even more in 2023 in what is a make-or-break year for the former Alabama QB.
