Mac Jones Expected To Start In Week 7
one year ago

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien said "Yeah. Yes" when asked if quarterback Mac Jones is expected to start in Week 7 against the division-rival Buffalo Bills. Jones has been on the precipice of being benched for the third straight week, although he did play a little better in the Week 6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, throwing for 200 yards on 33 pass attempts with no touchdowns and only one interception. The 25-year-old has somehow taken another step back in 2023 after a rough 2022 campaign, and he has thrown five interceptions and no touchdowns in the last three games. Jones has completed a career-low 64.2% of his passes, has taken 12 sacks and has seven picks through six weeks. At this point, it's hard to even recommend him in superflex leagues, and he could be benched for Malik Cunningham, Bailey Zappe or Will Grier at any moment moving forward.
