New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is a borderline streamer in single-QB leagues ahead of Week 9 versus the Washington Commanders. Not only does he face a greater challenge after losing Kendrick Bourne (ACL) for the season, but he also takes on a statistically solid defense this week. While the Commanders might not be as dominant as some of the Patriots' opponents, including the Eagles, Cowboys, Saints, and Bills, it's worth noting that they have still allowed the 14th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Of course, that was with Chase Young and Montez Sweat on the team. Both defensive playmakers were traded this past week, which could not have come at a better time for Jones. The young quarterback will have more time in the pocket to make plays happen this Sunday. As a result, he's a mid-to-low QB2 who can be started in a pinch.
