Lynn Bowden Could Step Up In Banged-Up Receiver Room

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Lynn Bowden filled in for an injured Rashid Shaheed (thigh) last week, taking slot receiver snaps and factoring into the rushing game on two carries for 40 yards. With Shaheed logging back-to-back DNPs at practice this week, his status for Sunday is in doubt, meaning that Bowden could again see some usage. The 26-year-old journeyman receiver should only be rostered in the deepest of leagues but could be considered as a desperation flex play against a Detroit secondary surrendering the fourth-most points per game to opposing receivers.
