Lions To Increase Jahmyr Gibbs' Touches In Week 2
one year ago

Detroit Lions rookie first-round running back Jahmyr Gibbs had just nine touches and 19 offensive snaps in his NFL debut in last Thursday night's win over the Kansas City Chiefs, but he was able to force six missed tackles and is in line to see increased reps in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Dan Campbell said the team limited Gibbs in his debut because they didn't want to overload him or any other first-year players on the road in KC. With more snaps for Gibbs, it will mean that both he and David Montgomery are on the field together. The 21-year-old's versatility in both the run and pass game really makes him intriguing to the Lions and fantasy managers. Gibbs averaged six yards per carry on his seven attempts in Week 1 and should be considered a high-end RB2 in fantasy lineups this Sunday.
