Lions In Desperate Need Of Cornerback Help
9 months ago

The Athletic's Colton Pouncy writes that the Detroit Lions are in desperate need of cornerback help this offseason. Cam Sutton, Jerry Jacobs and Kindle Vildor were largely ineffective in 2023, and the loss of Emmanuel Moseley (knee) didn't help matters for their secondary. The Lions defense allowed 7.4 yards per attempt in 2023 (third-worst) and struggled to contain top receivers down the stretch and in the postseason. If the Lions want to continue having Super Bowl aspirations into 2024, they are going to need to figure out the cornerback position this offseason, and they should be able to find it through either the draft or free agency.
