Lions Elevate Jason Cabinda To Active Roster

The Detroit Lions elevated fullback Jason Cabinda and offensive lineman Michael Schofield from their practice squad to the active 53-man roster ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship tilt versus the San Francisco 49ers. The Lions added Cabinda to their practice squad on Jan. 2, and the 27-year-old has been active for both of the team's playoff victories leading up to this weekend's NFC title game. He caught one pass for no gain in last week's Divisional Round win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while playing 11 offensive snaps. Cabinda played seven offensive snaps in the wild-card round versus the Los Angeles Rams and wasn't targeted. Don't expect Cabinda to have much of a role against the 49ers on the road this Sunday.
