Lions Defense A Bottom-Five Option Against Chiefs

The Detroit Lions defense is expected to take a step forward after being abysmal last season, but its clearly still a unit to avoid in Week 1 against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite the injury concerns of tight end Travis Kelce (knee), Kansas City always finds ways to score points and should have no problem moving the ball against the Detroit defense. Maybe the Lions can develop into a fantasy-relevant defense later in the year, but there's no point in rolling the dice on them this week.
